From our registration in 1999 to today, every milestone marks a new program that helps more children stay safe, in school and seen.
Our free learning centre for children of daily-wage workers, migrant families and slum communities at Gandhinagar — daily classes, school admission support, books, uniforms and a nutrition snack at zero cost.
Most of the children walking in are first-generation learners. SSVS mentors each child through their school years to prevent dropouts.
A dedicated residential facility for boys was established at Nandbag under JJ Act guidelines — offering 24x7 care to orphaned, abandoned, runaway and rescued boys.
Older boys receive vocational training and aftercare so they can step into independent, dignified lives.
A 24x7 government-recognised shelter home was opened to provide safe accommodation, nutritious meals, healthcare, schooling and emotional care for orphaned, runaway and at-risk children.
House parents, social workers and counsellors live and work with the children, helping them recover from trauma and rebuild a sense of family.
SSVS partnered with the Ministry of Labour & Employment under the National Child Labour Project to identify, rescue and rehabilitate children engaged in hazardous labor.
Every rescued child is enrolled in an NCLP Special Training Centre with bridge education, mid-day meals, a monthly stipend, healthcare and vocational training — and then transitioned into mainstream schools.
Sagar Samajik Vikas Sanstha was formally registered in 1999 (Reg. No. IND/4080/99) with a clear mandate — protect vulnerable children and uplift marginalised families across Madhya Pradesh.
What began as a small group of community workers in Indore has, over the last 25+ years, grown into a multi-program organisation working with government agencies, schools and grassroots volunteers.
